In June of 1960, The Oakville Civitan club was chartered, sponsored by the Canadian District of Civitan International and the West Toronto Civitan Club.

During the ensuing 50 Years, the club has seen many members come and go but the good works here in Oakville have continued, serving those needs that always seem to escape the more formal organizations.

To celebrate our anniversary, we are having a 50^th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday August 17 at the Harbour Convention Centre in Bronte.

We will be featuring guests from the various causes we are supporting as well as those we have supported in the past. As well we will be welcoming to Oakville the Oakville Junior Civitan Club that we sponsored and chartered in May of this year from students at local high schools.
